Donald J. Trump (45th POTUS) reached a new and spectacular low on December 15th 2022. In the midst of numerous law suits and investigations into criminal misconduct ranging from rape to espionage he launched a digital trading card featuring himself in numerous settings and poses. It remains the most tone-deaf, absurd, and radical marketing move in known history. On the cusp of his very namesake company Trump Org being convicted on all charges of fraud and conspiracy someone convinced him that selling $99 digital trading cards was a good idea. In no universe, shape, or form is this a good idea. However, it is a hilarious set up for this robot blog post.

Trump’s trading cards were released in the days leading up to the holiday with the theme “Trump Family Holiday Edition.” The cards were a “Collect the set and watch how much fun you can have!” and sold for $99. A single card was $15.

In a parody of the “Trump vs Obama” campaign, “The Trump Family” was released on November 9th. The cards are an exact photoshopping of the image of the family. The card shows the family’s likeness, family house, and a brief caption.
